She graduated from the Department of Turkish Language and Literature at Ankara University’s Faculty of Languages, History and Geography. In the same year, she completed her teaching certificate program at Ankara University, Faculty of Educational Sciences and worked as a Turkish Language and Literature and Turkish teacher in Tarsus High School, Tarsus American College, Istanbul Enka Schools and Izmir Işıkkent Campus respectively. During her time in private schools, she organized Turkish courses for foreign teachers and administrators.
In 2005, she started teaching Turkish as a foreign language at Izmir MEF International School. Seeing that there was no education program for “Turkish as a Foreign Language” courses offered in international schools in Turkey and “Host Country Studies” where Turkish culture is taught, she devised various education programs for different levels, in addition to teaching materials for every level and age group, and implemented these in her lectures.
In 2017 she completed the Graduate Program of General Linguistics in Dokuz Eylül University.
Over the past years she has taught Turkish to students from more than forty nations. She is currently working as a Turkish teacher and head of modern languages department at Izmir MEF International School.
